Welcome to the Bishop Reverdy C. Ransom Memorial Library, the first freestanding library for Payne Theological Seminary. Before its construction the seminary's library was housed in two rooms in the administration building. Initial proposals suggested the library be housed in the Mitchell Anderson building, but structural engineering reports indicated that it would have difficulty load baring the weight of library stacks. In 2004, a process was initiated that led to the library's construction, which was completed on April 22, 2009, when Payne received the occupancy permit for the building, and on May 8 the building was dedicated in the Chapel of the Living Savior.
On the back of your Payne Theological Seminary Student I.D. Card is a 14-digit pin beginning with the number 2. This is your library card number needed to use library services such as borrowing books or using OhioLINK databases.
